Instead of me telling you until I'm blue in the face which oils to use in the M series engines, Castrol seems to have it's database updated and correct at last, shame the Dealers don't take any notice though!

Just click here and look for tools on the left and then click on "which oil should I use?"

As mentioned on countless occassions, 10w-60 is only recommended for certain models.

Castrols recommendations now tie in with my database..............yippee!

Magnatec = base level recommendation, you can do much better!

I would just add this is not an endorsement of their oils even though I sell them, there are plenty to choose from which are more resonably priced and carry the required specs.

Yeah thats what i meant!

Since when have M engines been basic?

Price, Silkolene you get 5L instead of 4L for the same money, bargain :mad:

I know Nigel use's Silkolene for M3's.

Great, thanks for the reply. If you reckon you can supply it cheaper I will be in that. Cheaper even to Australia from you? We have 5 Beemers that we will run the Motul oil in. So the orders will be reasonably consistent.
