my car has been mis-firing in the morning. the engine turns but misses. when the car eventually starts it jerks and jars.
what is the reason, is it the starter motor or do i need the air or fuel filter changing?

air leak, cold start injector/valve , plugs/ leads , split in the dizzy cap , rotor .both new air and fuel filter will help, some will probably have had this and will have more of an idea .
