Forum....I have a freind whose cylinder head gasket and "rocker" are defective...is this a straight forward fix?

If you mean that the gasket between the cylinder head & the rocker cover needs changing, yes that's simple enough.
If on the other hand, it's the head gasket itself and a broken rocker, then it's a lot more involved!

Hello Ziggy...no ...its definately the rocker that is brocken. You would have to take the whole thing apart.......ouch! ok...thanks..
