Wheres the best/cheapest place to get a black kidney grille from?

halford couple of quid for black spray and a bit of sandpaper :)

Is it easy to take the chrome part off to spray then?

it just unclips mate i just sanded mine enough to take the shine off its been on over 6 months and hasnt flaked or chipped

Do you mean that the Chrome bit unclips separately or do you remove the whole middle section with the upright grilles in?

The kidney grill come's out mate, the rest stay's there.

I did'nt even sand mine down, just used grey primar (Filler) for the thickness from chip's and then Satin Black, look's the nut's :D

it's a lot easier to remove the whole middle section including the vertical sections, then remove the chrome grille from these when off the car...

i took mine off without the rest . 2 clips only if i remember pop the bonnet and a few seconds later i was done!!

Sorry, I meant is it easy to seperate the chrome part of the kidney grill from the rest of it.

yeh there just a 3 part grill thing the center bit you want to paint black is clipped in and slots into the other 2 sides . easy .

those 2 clips hold the grille/vertical slats piece on though, at least on my old one - you took two clips off the top (just under the lip of the bonnet) and then the bottom of the chrome grille/vertical slats section just comes out of it's positioning holes. But then you still need to take the chrome grille off the vertical slats, which was more fiddly at least on mine.

Best bet is to just try it and see what's easiest for you! it will only take a minute to decide!
