Moderator: martauto
A fair of few of us decided it was sad cotm was gone and we tried to contact le mods but theyr probably busy so wer going diy. To get it back in swing the theme is open. Its simply a best photo competition. The winner will be picked via poll votes at the end of the month. That way everyone can enter! And voting is totally unbiassed
Prizes wer unsure of yet but il see what I can do. Post up people![/list]

So should these pictures be car related?

And should said photographs be actually taken by the person entering?

Yeah e30 related :p crap we probably shoulda discussed that...i think yes in most cases as the official one was like that. Its fair because its not always about photographical skill, even the idea behind the picture can win votes.
E30 related.
The person entering should be cameraman...unless ofcourse theres themes like " me with my car or rolling shots " then the person entering will want to be with their car so a mate can take the shots

I agree sometimes a good idea will beat a dull but technically correct shot- so it should!!
Then that should be entered by the person taking the shot!! Shoot your mates car if it's a rolling shot of get a mate to driveverde wrote:The person entering should be cameraman...unless ofcourse theres themes like " me with my car or rolling shots " then the person entering will want to be with their car so a mate can take the shots

Depends if it's a photo comp or just a pretty picture comp? I'll go get something from StanceCock and enter as my own then yeah?penton08 wrote:Who gives a flying **** who takes the picture? as long as its your car I fail to see a problem

I think its safe to say we understand that the photo has to be your own, and maybe we should just say the theme is E30, standing still... That way there is no 'what if's''s's's
Also, 1 entry per person so pick one and enter

The reason I didn't enter the last one because there were too many photoshop heroes and it made my 'Boots Wind-on' photos look shitpenton08 wrote:So photo shopping the hell out of your own picture is fine? but if your mate takes the picture of YOUR car then that's no good??

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.
Flippin heck penton. Bad day at work? Dont take life so seriously. Its meant to be a bit of fun.penton08 wrote:So photo shopping the hell out of your own picture is fine? but if your mate takes the picture of YOUR car then that's no good??

Hmm looks like I might have to give the old crate a wash & get the old box brownie out as I know of a few places that'll make a good location (the joys of living on the edge of Sherwood forest lol).
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

If one wants to take their shot a stage further then why not- it's still creative!! That's the point isn't it- being creative? What is the point of a photo comp if the photo isn't one you tookpenton08 wrote:So photo shopping the hell out of your own picture is fine? but if your mate takes the picture of YOUR car then that's no good??

There were some great shots taken with phones- just has to be different, or arty!Duke137 wrote:The reason I didn't enter the last one because there were too many photoshop heroes and it made my 'Boots Wind-on' photos look shitpenton08 wrote:So photo shopping the hell out of your own picture is fine? but if your mate takes the picture of YOUR car then that's no good??

An old one of mine as I haven't taken any pics of it for a while

This ^ You can still get photo editing stuff on phones, it might not be as in depth as photoshop or anything but even colour grading can make a difference!suchy wrote:There were some great shots taken with phones- just has to be different, or arty!Duke137 wrote:The reason I didn't enter the last one because there were too many photoshop heroes and it made my 'Boots Wind-on' photos look shitpenton08 wrote:So photo shopping the hell out of your own picture is fine? but if your mate takes the picture of YOUR car then that's no good??
