Open the boot, look along the edge under the heckspoiler, theres 6 plastic nuts u will need to get out with a socket. Then you need to remove the boot from its brackets, put the new one, put the heckspoilet back on, get a wallpaper scraper, pop the IS badge off and re-attach it with some glue

and mark and redrill the holes for the heck spoiler in the new boot lid, if it were me id pop abit of sealant around the wholes just to prevent any water getting into the boot that way.

Remove the iS badge with fishing line pulled down behind it, and refit with double sided adhesive tape made for the job.

Any idea how to get rid of any excess glue from the body? My e30 still has the outline of the 325i and looks a bit messy. Don't want to ruin the paint either.

What colour? You will most likely find a good one one here with spoiler for less than a Respray.

That's only if the new boot doesn't have holes in it for a spoiler already. If it doesn't, I'd buy another one from the zone. Would be alot less hassle and they aren't very expensive.

Bloody hell I wouldn't attack paintwork with such a harsh method of removal. A cloth and some G3 paint renovator (or a similar product like T-cut) with a bit of effort will remove it. Sometimes a bit of WD-40 if it's being stubborn.

Seriously, I'd be happier to remove the bolts and glue the heckspoiler ( not with superglu ) than I would be to drill the holes in a good bootlid. :)
