had my third set of bmw badges stolen, last attempt i superglued the posts on resulting in them breaking off and now stuck in the boot holes,

i know i cant prevent the badges being taken , would love to catch them in the act! but probably not going to happen, messed up thing is my house probably is the only "car" focused house in my close, with some nice cars! and people know that so they keep vandalising our shit! :x

just thinking of what i can stick on the back of the badges so it would injure, hurt burn whatever to the knobs!

was thinking glue etc but it would probably just dry up obv,

stanley blades

I would strongly advise against this no matter how tempting it is. If they go to the police which is not unheard of, You could be facing a ABH charge on that one.

just fit tatty ones, if you glue them down they'll only damage your paintwork trying to get them off.. just sit & wait up and take a photo with a big flash, while they're in the act and they won't come back.

I left my wallet on the kitchen unit displaying a few notes, car keys next to it. It was getting on for 3am and I was watching a film. Next thing I realise someone's trying my door. Muted the TV and there it was again.

Patio doors were open so I creep out and hide behind the shadow cast by a light to see if whoever it was was leaving etc only to see 4 hoodies shuffling down beside my car wanting to get into my back garden.

With the absence of a camera I just said 'Alright lads' in a loud voice & they scattered like whippets.

The way the police will see it is that its not worth physically hurting someone for some badges. At the end of the day most criminals have had much more experience with the law than the average. They use their knowledge in counter claims.

Install cctv and motion activated lighting [ floodlights ], it may not deter the scumbag but you can stick the scrotes up on FB or YT to expose them.

Maybe their intentions were honourable and they just wanted to 'touch ' a real IS ? :)

I'd go for that, but they didn't hang around as I offered them a blast round the block :)

I remember seeing these trip-wire noise mines for sale a while ago but can't find them now! Basically they set of an explosive charge that did no damage but made an almighty bang.

This is the closest thing I can find, but can't imagine you'd hear the caps from inside the house, neither would they be likely to frighten even the most nervous hoody. But still, food for thought...

that's a decent idea.. Are you on about the ones which use 12 guage blanks? They'd wake the neighbourhood up!

No point in wasting ammo, it's expensive.
