yawn, johnono and his "reps" again

home made, took 1 day, silver, "nogaro" almost grey, and clear lacquer.
dremmeled the edges to perfection, sanded in every hole, spirit cleaned the whole thing, primed in red primer to give a good contrast to see coverage.
silver a couple coats
tape up the rim nice and tidy,
coat the "face" in the nogaro a good few coats, at an angle to make sure u hit all the facets.
take tape off, and admire the beauty.
hit it with 5 coats clear,

johnono they look superb, especially with the smoked lights and against the dark bodywork etc. am well impressed. think you've done a really good job of them. the centres look quite a bit darker from that pic of an m3 in this thread though? how are they standing up against stone chips etc? how are the caps doing, i take it you sprayed them too (as opposed to buying them).
lol at stevetigger and brake dust, that thought did cross my mind - is part of the appeal, wouldn't have to clean 'em so often!
i've been offered by a chap who's a friend of my old man's and is doing some bodywork on the car, that if i do as much prep as i can he'll polish the rims and paint the centres for Ԛ£80 (all of the wheels!). he normally charges Ԛ£50 a wheel. i'm very tempted, but don't know if i do it whether to have the centres nogaro silver or not.
i also reckon that if they come out quite dark as johnono's, they might look shit against a white car. they look better that way against a dark car imo tho.
think i need a photoshop effort on mine....

that white 2 door with the grey alpina rims is local to me, it sticks to the road like shit to a blanket, hatge anti rollbars and a few trick bits going on, the lad is a bmw techy at main dealer i think.
