The other thing I meant to say was about the new MOT certificates, cheap or what ??
I know that they are computer generated / recorded now but I'd imagine they'll be very easy to copy etc for selling "iffy" cars "with a current MOT" !!

I suppose the theory is that with all the info held electronically the paper part is no more than a receipt really.

Is there any way of checking the validity of an Mot certificate online?

Mines only failed once in 25yrs.... 5yrs ago, both "jacking points" needed a couple of plates putting in. Not one for blowing my own trumpet but..thats not bad by anbody,s standards!

I have to agree, my E34 was 3 years younger but, body wise at least, was not even in the same street as my Touring structurally,
