how much

you can get a car for that and a very good second hand full set is 350-400

no one in there right mind will pay that, they don't even have the right stitching colours etc, you an tell there not genuine.

From looking at for sale threads on here and on ebay and from speaking to various retrimming places this is actually a very good price. You can get the seats done in any colour you like as well which is good.

One place quoted me £1600 for seats, headrests and door cards.

When looking on ebay a set of seats in ok condition will set you back £500 or so, why settle for some 20+ year old leather when you can get some fresh new stuff that will transform the car for not a huge amount more (sod fitting costs and if you exchange current seats you knock £200 off).

If your looking for a bespoke interior then this is a good price...i just cant see why anyone would have a cream interior particulary on a cab!

Cream is a bit of an odd one, I think on a dark cab it would work, but on one like mine (silver) it would look wrong. I'm looking/contemplating changing from black sport to red sport but I've not managed to convince myself I want to spend £1k on that.

FinalD, im in agreement mine i light metalic blue and a cream interior would look sh1te. I have just changed my interior from Tan to black and it looks much better.

Fair play. Cream is an odd one really, I'm not keen on it in the E30 but like the cream cloth in my Mk3 Mondeo and the cream leather in a mate's E60 535d. My mate thinks I should go cream/white in the E30 but I think it'd look utter rubbish. For now I'm going to stick with shabby black sport until I muster up enough balls to buy a retrim....at which point I'll decide on black again, or red. :)

I had a cream leather retrim on my cab, I think it works on a dark car but probably not on a lighter car. BTW - the trim including wheel and door cards (along with bolster fixing) was under £1200 but that was 7 years ago now!

Is your gaiter making the rest of the interior look shabby mate?

DemonDaz, that interior looks well done and reminds me how cool these cars looked new.

They'd look better with matching seat backs - but hey it's still a good price. In the grand scheme of things, it's a lot cheaper than fixing frilly bodywork!

Ive just bought a whole set for £170 with door cars (with the very rare speaker pods) the back seats are good and I have been quoted £170 to restore/recolor the front seats by a mobile leather guy in London and waiting for a quote from another guy who also does retrims...

I can personally vouch for this man's retrimming skills.

From a front seat bolster, to a complete interior, steering wheel and door cards, he know's his E30's..

Can I just say, that really is a very nice car!

Also is that a e36 m3 front splitter installed?? If so is it simple to fit?

I suppose 800 is reasonable for in effect new seats, I'm thinking of re-upholstering now, or possibly a trade in deal, unless I'm lucky enough to find a really good second hand set.

thats a nice interior, (not my cup of tea) but very nice and a good contrast on a dark car..

The front splitter is an autovogue AV3, not sure they are still available but I had to get something as the day I bought the car some idiot turned in the snow and wiped the original off!

I still have the rear of the kit in the garage! One day it will be fitted.

BTW. After spending ages trying to clean the cream leather tonight I'd say don't do cream!

gaitor's toby

tbh im not considering a cream interior, even though it would suit my mauritius cabbie,im just lookin for a decent refurb for the seats only, decent cabbie seats in beige are non existent and respray has only lasted a couple of years,so its time to spend some wonga on new leather.
