Bit lazy of me but I've been flat out last few weeks so decided to leave my car with the polish car wash lot in the multi story car park last week whilst I was having a suit fitting, when I came back the car was gleaming... HOWEVER. By the time I got home whatever they had used on the tyres (some sort of marmite/oil/grease mixture) was all over the sides of the car!!
I cleaned it off before the sun baked it on but it was a pig to get off!! Anyone know what this crap is? Surely some homemade shite?
What is it?

I know this doesn't answer your question, but...
...the best thing for making tyres look good is shoe polish.
Just don't use it on the tread - you have been warned

Schadenfreude - the German's haven't got a word for that.

They done a good job on the car though, polished up lovely, really pissed off when I got home and had to do it again (after spending £15 on it!)
I will ask them what it was and tell them to keep that shite away from my car, if it was a product Il be back to warn you all away from it.

PONY, 2013 - "Anyway span 360 degrees hitting the kerb and giving the old man two fingers as I was spinning like Michael Schumacher would
Yeah will be fine with the brown tyres you had fitted specially
I never let them use tyre shine on any of my cars, had one place use stuff that stripped the paint from the wheels and another that left the black stuff you mentioned all over the car
Do it myself once i get home now
