Hi all,

Im a newbie round here, just thought id say hello. Ive has 2 E30's before, a 318i and a 316i Lux. Im in the process of selling my weekend car, an 87 420SL Merc, to buy an E30 for the weekend as it trully is my fav car! Whenever i get her sold ill be looking for the best of the best, totally standard 2 door 325i Auto. Has to be minter than mint and totally standard, how i likes em! Was looking through the for sale section here, and the Silver one with 65,000 miles on it would have been perfect. Thats the sorta thing im after. Anyway thats another story for when my cars sold, just thought id say hello to ya all.

Russell. :)

Welcombe to the zone from the mods.
Last person to say hello on here got 8 pages of replies, but she was a girl. You mightn't get quite as many!

welcome mate, good luck finding an e30. is it a sport your after or an se. minty mint sports will go for around the 4k mark. its hard to judge the price really as people will pay the dollar for a mint one. (but they are very hard to come by).

Billgates sport is one if not the best example. MINT!!!!!
but doubt he'll ever sell

Thanks folks. Nav, im not fussed really, just a low ish mileage Sport or SE that is truly mint. Must be 2 door (obv if Sport) and preferably an auto as im an auto convert. More chance of getting an Auto SE id have thought. Mind you if a minty manual Sport came up id be daft not to go for it. Just need to wait until ive sold my SL i guess, better do it in summer as winters not really the time to sell a convertable! Itll be replacing the SL in the strictly for dry summer use role so im in no hurry to buy, just want a nice one! Preferably bright Red but colours less important. Must be totally standard tho! Ive looked at the pics of Bills car and wow - id have it in a shot but hed never sell it im sure lol. Would you? No, lol.

Welcome Russell!

I'm fairly new to the Zone as well. I joined as I am looking for an M3, and just wanted to ask a couple of questions. I haven't found one yet (that I want to hand over readies for), but I have already learnt sooooo much from the Zone, and that is really helping me in my quest. There are just loads of helpful, friendly guys (& gals) on here! You have come to the right place!

Russell, it will be worth you keeping an eye on the Scottish region's forum on the BMWCC site. I only say this as it is the most active region, and there is always something happening! And, having meet quite a few of the guys form north of the border, they are a really good bunch!
