Heyo folks,

Ive just put the car in for a quick check at my local tyre place and have been informed that one of the track rams (I think thats what they are called?) is bent, to cut a long story short, told i needed to replace steering rack so is there any worthwhile mods i can do to the steering while im getting this done? I know its been mentioned god knows how many times before, although i cant find info when i do a search, but can you put the e36 steering rack in an e30 to gain an improvement, or has anyone come across these so called quick racks? Any info on where i can get either, with prices would be brill (I dont have any scrappies or stealers near me, mail order pref. )
Thanks alot,
Beavis

If the Track arms are bent. Then have them replace the track arm. Theres no need to change the rack just for that!

Click that link. You are only going to need either 4 or 14.

As for the E36 rack conersion have a read of this. Should give you the basic idea. Though bear in mind he uprated several parts for the hell of it. Not because it was needed.

Finally if you want to go through with it. Try www.fabdirect.com as they are constantly breaking loads of BMWs. They also do Mail order.
