My mate has a mint e30 m3 evo and had just fitted fresh BBS rc's and wanted a run out this weekend to get the car out of hibernation. He suggested the fast show at santa pod as he has never been there. But I really think the lure of the 'nuts' girls swayed him a bit even though I told him we were better waiting for a BMW day. First the m3 fan went so we had to pull over in the queue in to let it cool down the we entered what I can only describe as a chav open day. I can't remember seeing that many severe hair cuts in one place and me and my mates certainly stood out in our jeans. The girls were rough (holding guts in for pics) and they were some terrible cars on display too. The only cars to get in the 11's or 10's with all the jap metal around were the vw drags racing series doing qualifying runs. I must be getting old but the constant dubstep was intolerable.

As we had enough we walked through the car park back to the m3 and saw a white e30 track car in typical bmw livery with full cage and rocking it hard on a sunday afternoon. I loved the jap filter poking out the inner grill hole. I just want to say thank you to the owner you were without doubt my car of show and the best thing to come out of this encounter with the modified UK car club scene.

Thanks (who-ever you are)
