Sorry for this post if it breaks rules, but wasn't sure if everyone reads the group buy section.

Simon aka the oilman has offered a group buy on oil, but needs a few interested parties to get it off the ground, the post has been up for a while but hasn't had much response.

The thread can be seen here...

OK for anyone who doesn't want vauxhall oil in their car and has been advised to use a specific oil by Simon see the above link!

The group buy is for proper oil, I doubt the Vauxhaull stuff is even proper synth especially for that price.

It's not, it's 10W40 Semi-Synthetic.

I reckon Oilman could tell you more about it than me

But I have heard it's good stuff.

But you can only get those prices in the trade club, otherwise it's MUCH more expensive.

I suppose the "pointy" question is "does it carry BMW Approvals?"

All the oils offered in the GB will be BMW Approved oils.

I can't comment on whether it's a good oil as I've never been able to get hold of a tech data sheet however at those prices it will be a petroleum oil not a synthetic, it costs twice to three times those prices to make a proper synthetic oil. ALL semi-synthetics are petroleum oils and yes Silkolene sells them too and..........they're also cheap!
No one in the oil business sells oils at a loss.

I will post prices in the Group Buy section tomorrow, the choice is yours, I won't be offended

Cheers

The Vauxhall Oil in the Trade Club Deal is very very close to cost price at Vauxhall HQ.

Retail price is about 18 pounds, but trade club is 4.50 when you buy 4 cans, as Matt mentioned above.

I don't know where a spec sheet could be obtained though?
