Take them off if you worried they are going to get nicked, put them on when your driving... Seems like a pain in the arse but atleast you wont have to fork out £25 a pop each time one goes missing... The more expensive option would be to move away from where ever your living at the moment.

As above really, coat it in clear wax or oil so it will delay the theif, dont think many will carry a spanner with them. I hate theives.
