That thing went like fuck. He let me drive it a couple of times to when he was at uni in bristol.

Was a famous thing on here. Remember it going to ireland or something? Is it still alive?

Last thing I heard was the GUG went to ireland, but wasn't it a bit of a munter underneath the kit? Probably dissolved now.

The guy Kam who bought it off Karan nailed it everywhere for a week and then sold it quickly on with an engine drama. I think its just gone downhill from there.

The start was when i had the 6 branch off him!

I never got to see the gug but i always remember people going on about it hence the reason i've got a Les Stannard 327i sport now. And yes they do go really well!

Im pretty sure Ian 332i had a Les Stannard 2.7 bottom end built and mated it to the Griffin Motorsport head then put it in his black tech 2 sport before selling it to Ste so he could fit the S50 it now has?

Karan bought the car from Ste's brother Phil who solely used it as a track car. Gave it a quick paint job and Karan bought it. I remember it forsale and thinking about it but the 2.7 and insurance was putting me off at the time and i ended up with my lachs silver one instead

Ian sold the engine to Ste when he was S50'ing his sport yes. But Ste had bexleys add the MAF and BMC filter to it. Karan fitted the RD manifold and thats that.

Yes - a couple of years ago it came up for sale over here. I went to see it, it had nice leathers and btb manifold and system, but ran rough/off a pot and had a piggy back management with a maf conversion.....and everything painted underneath with a jumbo tin of '5 wheel silver' lollipop bushes an all....
The shell was finished, clean rotten, but looked good from 10 paces.
The seller was never going to consider what i rekoned it was worth, he had old magazine articles featuring it!!
