Purchased these mirrors from Demlotcrew on here as my elec mirrors were very badly corroded and peeling etc... , I'm extremely pleased with the deal and the quality of the mirrors themselves but not entirely sure if I like the look of em on the car.

What are peoples opinion (I know mine is the opinion that counts as it's my car , but just gauging opinion out of curiosity).

On your car, with the minimal of mods i think it would look better with standard mirrors.

They make the car look like Goofy, IMO, which is a shame because otherwise it's a really good looking car.

I think it would take a full on M3 DTM look to pull them off so M3 only then.

My old 2 door was fairly heavily modified, but one thing I never changed was the wing mirrors. The E30 is quite a boxy shaped car, and the boxy wing mirrors suit it, I think.
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is

Basically confirmed my thoughts on it there. I'm really not a "chav" modder or anything like that , most of my motors are or have been OEM or tastefully modded. I just made the mistake here of thinking they'd look as good on a standard e30 as they do an M3..... but they don't! lol :(

Tastefully and politely put , thank you. That goes for everyone by the way. Never sure if you're gonna get a nice reply or shot down in flames on here at times. haha :o:

This is true , but I knew as soon as I bolted em up. lol

Just a shame I spent 2 days repairing em properly before trying em on.

(I knew they needed repairing prior to purchase though , they were purchased as damaged items.... jus wish I'd offered em up to the car before repairing em).

I thought the met' black went well with the shadowline trim , also I have a tech1 spoiler ready to go on which is largely black aside from a narrow insert on top.

I've got some tech1 skirts to go on as well but I still don't think that would be enough to balance out the mirrors and I'm not into having too much claggy on shit. I like a nice clean look.

No offence, but those DTM things make me feel ill.

I like 'em.. I think the standard mirrors are a bit big and goofy. On a boggo car they wouldn't work :)
