has anyone put/scene an e30 on bentley wheels. curious to see the result, if possible, obviously very minor lowering and possibly some extreme arch rolling would need done. it can look amasing on the new shape VWs and wondered if it had been done on e30s. iv checked google and none came up but, you never know. i ask out of pure curiosity

Riding on 20's is never going to be "Fun" on an E30, there was a thread with someone who did loads of "mods" on his white one to acommodate 20's

Its not really "snobishness"

Why would u want bentley wheels on an E30? The wheels are probably worth more than the car they would go on and the plain fact that they are supposed to fit a bentley

diable. your right man i dunno how people afford it, brand new jettas on airbags and 19s. ones for the borbets will be fine. will be fairly stretched which helps cost

It's not snobbery, it's a case of helping you.
You asked the question, we answered it.

Get a pic of the bentley wheel up, and i'm sure one of the photoshop gurus will put them up on your car for you.

Ah, "VWVortex".
If you look at "The Rides" on that site, they are all more rounded cars, and the wheels look OK.
But those wheels will not favour the E30. :D

rav335uk thats a good idea. its just a curious ponder dont want someone to waste effort on it. perhaps for other things im doing to my car at a later date.

i just meant looks wise aswell, these cars are show cars or already have large diameter wheels

Some of us like to drive our cars. My chromie is highly modified. There are lots of purists who would hate what i've done to my chariot.

You've been given sound advise, if you choose to dismiss it as snobbery then crack on and keep us posted yeh?!

Its a dead original idea too isnt it, Your defos daring to be different

for fucks sake. i told u all several times I AM NOT PUTTING BENTLEY WHEELS ON MY CAR

im putting on borbets. i was watching a wagenwerks video and wondered what itd be like to see em on an e30. im taking my car round the nurburgring, do u honestly think id stick it on 19s and hope to gain handling from it.

as for the teal car its one iv seen around the web and admire greatly. i presume its on 15s? does anyone know the drop and wheel size as this is what i would realistically like to acheive

My mate has his A4 avant on Bentley wheels...... they look shit.

On an E30..... they'd look worse! (and be un-driveable).

60/40 on Borbets , now ya talkin. 8) (I'm biased , thats how I roll). lol

im open to any mods people pull off whether if its a shambles, to get laughs or whatever. we all know 30s dont look right on anything other than deep dish rims, i have a set of 16x9jjs on mine, but its always interesting to see someone go outside the norm and do something whacky to their car even if it does end up a rocky horror picture show :D

60mm sounds like you need a few spare sumps, regardless of what wheels your running.

Yes 60mm on rear is too much , you will get arch rub with the 9j Borbets.

i adjusted mine 60mm on the front and 90mm on the back with some custom springs i have for a laugh the other day. sits flat, looks crazy and would be totally undrivable unless you have no exhaust or floor. stuck it back in the garage unadjusted as its still got work need doing on it. its back out sunday to adjust properly as ive just fitted them at their lowest for now, and i got stuck driving up a 3deg incline into the garage. ill post up some pics up when i get time youll laugh your ar5e off at the councilness winkeye

60mm will be fine fella just depends on how good you can roll an arch i can just about fit a pack of 20 cigs on there side under my chassis and front can and will be going lower with a bit of modding to the inner arch using specialist tools (big hammer) to stop rubbing on lock when sideways aslong as she looks original as poss on outside bodywork im not fussed ill get sum pics up tomoz and show how low :)
