Just curious, Which insurer have you gone with? Ive been quoted for a Ԛ£300 325 between 559 (if i get a tracker etc) to Ԛ£749!!! Seems abit steep considering the car is worth half the insurance! ( btw, Im new, from Oz!! So This insurance stuff is kinda new to me!)

Cheers!

It's not the damage to your car that concerns the insurers, it's the damage you can potentially do WITH it.
There is no disernable logic to the way British insurers' decide on premiums. Far too many variables to recomend one insurer over another, depends on age, job, experience, accident history, convictions, location, type of car, number of doors on car, modifications, storage of car when not being used, etc., etc.
Best you'll get is a few pointers.

i would recommend Performance direct, they quoted me Ԛ£300 cheaper than i am paying now, with all mods declared.......
One of our fellow zoners suggested them, worth a try.

do a search for a company called Taylor Price or Direct Choice, they were the cheapest I came across when searching and being a good boy and declaring all mods.

Have you got a UK licence?

www.confused.com searches loads of companies for you and retrieves the best quotations.

Everyone will have an insurer to recommend, but like Brianmoore said, we all have different cars, live in different places, occupations etc etc etc. As you are not totally straight forwards, given your nationality and possibly not having a UK licence you are better trying the specialist brokers like I mentioned (Taylor Price) etc, get a copy of Max power or something equally sad and look at all the insurers advertising in there, 90% are brokers who specialise in non-standard risksand will probably cut you a better deal than a lot of the direct insurers.

Cheapest i can get insurance for my 325i motorsport is Ԛ£930.31 thats with directline.

I have had two accidents one is pending and the other is a non fault, and got 1 years ncb at the moment.

All the other firms i tried were trying to quote me 2k plus stupid game i tell you.

I will have to disagree with that, i am currentley insured with direct choice, they are not the cheapest. i am currently paying Ԛ£710 TPFT with them, perfomance direct quoted me Ԛ£600 F/Comp. Taylor price are the finance company for direct choice ?

Oz, you'll still get dicked on for insurance without a UK licence fella as you don't then fit into the little box the insurers like to put you in on their quote systems.

Sheldo, that's a pretty good premium for your age and that car
