Mods i know this should probably be in the group buy section, but it will get a lot more exposure in this section and as its for the good of the zone member's, i thought you could perhaps make it a sticky for a while ??? Let me know what you all think please

Hi folks. I posted a picture of a strut brace i was selling in the forsale section of the forum a couple of weeks ago. It went really quickly and i had loads of responce from people wanting to buy it. As a result, i decided to speak to my mate who (Roy at CA Automotive) who imported it from Germany for me about the possibilities of getting some more in. He done us a wicked deal on both single and double braces and as a result 13 peopl have put in an order for one. Anyway, he's just rang me to ask if we'd be interested in a repeat performance so i thought i'd post this thread to see what mods people wanted to do on their cars next. If we get a few folks thinking of the same thing, then i can organize another deal for us.

Guys go to members rides, and have alook at my thread.
The second picture is my car with smoked MHW rear clusters.
( photobucket is down so i can't post pictures at the mo)
I paid Ԛ£250.00, and it took bloody ages to get hold of them.
( but that was nearly 3 years ago )
I got them though " HALFORDS "...
Hope this helps

I had the MHW rear lights on my old sport, sold the car with them on.
Can't find any bloody photos though. They did look good.
The later style lights they were, and the car was black, looked well smart.
Paid 180 pounds from R-Tec in St. Albans.

What about some Lexus lights, I think they'd prove to be quite popular
On a moe serious note, can Roy get crystal front and side repeaters like on my thread in the group buy section? I keep chasing the guy for a price but he's not getting back to me.

I think you're best bet is to get some of the DIY kit from Germany to make the lights yourself, and get a proper HID kit, I know of a proper kit with everything you need for just short of Ԛ£300, which is a bolt in job.billgatese30 wrote:si 13, i know you were paying alot but that is serious money, would be interesting to see if this guy can get them any cheaper from germany.

sounds good but do the reflectors shine the correct way for england or do you use most of the bits from your own lights?

The smoked lights that were on the touring are now on the M3, and they are brand spanking new smoked hellas.

how hard is it to convert to xenons anyone, is it just getting them to fit in the casing or is it getting them to line up correctly as well.

I have no idea about the ones Demlot makes, but you can buy a kit that comes with everything you need and also bulbs that are a direct replacement...billgatese30 wrote:how hard is it to convert to xenons anyone, is it just getting them to fit in the casing or is it getting them to line up correctly as well.

with the hella smoked lights are for left hand drive, although you can change what simon pointed out, you can't change the cutout in the actual light.
Right hand drive beam ___/ think this wrong way round
Left \___
For the xenons you need ballasts and the back of the light has to be modified alot to accept the xenon bulb which is about 100 times bigger than the standard shite in E30's most cars. In a different way to the total bmw article.
Having looked at that article get your name down for the zone Ԛ£250 conversion which will 100% be just as good if not better. This is the only way all the others are pants
