What are you chaps getting, for a scores worth of petrol i am getting around 110 miles, not a lot more than the big 525 touring i sold to Goosiegander.

the m40 giving about 110 from £20 (assuming 1.329/litre) thats 3.31 gallons, and 33.24 mpg..

This was always the thing with BM's The bigger the engine the better the power. However, the fuel economy on them was never that much more than the smaller engines. The smaller stuff has to work so hard. Remember the 320i and 325i argument and how the 320i seems like an alcoholic?

I been getting a whopping 38-39mpg on my E46 323 the other day i didnt know I/323 could do that (without cruise control). Even had 40mpg at one point.
(I usually only get 19-22mpg over long period of driving say a week. In stop-start traffic over that duration only it is about 14-15mpg.)
