Guys
Ive got a bit of a dilema I have 2 bms , 1 is a 1992 520 lpg conversion , that ive fitted leather and decent ice to, the other is a 1994 318 series tourer ( mauritius blue)that i bought 4 months ago , ( dunno why but i liked the colour.
Now apart from the fact that the 520 is lpg at 1.45 a gallon and its quite nice to drive but a bit slow due to it being the basic gas system and the 318 needs a little work, ( 2 front to rear brake pipes , axle bushes , handbrake cable ,rear shocks and springs all of which i have) and it now needs a battery and the tailgate needs painted , though no rust thankfully.
I cant make my mind up which 1 to keep , my head says the 520 but my heart says spend the money on the 3 series as when its clean it looks lovely , and even with all that needs done I still love the way it drives.
I am not gonna put the gas on the tourer as i looked at this a while back and for various reasons im not gonna go there.
Now as this is an E30 site i know this is a bit of a stupid question .
But what should I do?

KEEP THE E30 OBVIOUSLY
Its only a matter of time before lpg is the same price as petrol as well.

im not looking for anything that quick, to be honest i drive like an old man most of the time , so 318 is quick enough for me, can anyone tell me what sort of realistic mpg i can expect if i drive normally and dont have a big lead boot on my right foot?

I'd say touring mate-much more useful than the 520
got useable loadspace-eg washing machines, double bed matresses etc can all fit in a touring
plus its a bit "nippier" in the handling stakes too

I'll be many thousands in pocket by then. Savings per mile have never been higher than they are at the moment.bigdek wrote: Its only a matter of time before lpg is the same price as petrol as well.
Back on subject: Strip the gas kit out of the 520. Sell the gas kit on ebay, sell the 520, and gas the 318 with more suitable bits from ebay.
