I've noticed some bad rust forming around the sunroof mounting points. The rust is sure to soon bubble up to the exterior surface so I feel this could soon be a race against time. The car's Zinnobar Red.
And then there's the lining. I've got the light grey facelift model interior so it's a kind of light cream / grey lining. My one looks shabby.
Any ideas whether I should....
Get new parts and have to cover painting and fitting costs.
Go to a breakers but spend hours looking for a clean lining. And how do you fit these parts?
Or get the rust attended to and get a bespoke leather lining from a trimmer.
I'm told sunroof rust is common on E30s so let's hear some ideas...
Thanks.

There's another thread going on this.
Sunroof panel and lining are both very easy to remove and replace, so no problem there.
Rust free ones are available in scrapyards, but are rare, especially if your looking for a particular colour.
