Bought it from Top Discount in Germany. Ԛ£400 for a hood with no rubbers, no wires or bars, just the cloth and the window.
The inner fixings are needing to be sewn or glued as well.
Not good value I feel, as the advert was a little misleading and also delivery took two and a half weeks after payment was made and eight days after the e check cleared. I was told 3/ 4 days!
My reply:
Dear Alexandre,
my hood was delivered today.
The hood is not what I expected. I thought that there would be sealing rubbers included and that the hood would not need as much gluing or stitching in order to fit it.
For the amount of money that I paid for this hood and having looked again at the original ebay listing I feel that it is very poor value. Furthermore, I do feel that I have been mislead. The delivery also took much longer than I was lead to believe.
I do not want to leave negative feedback, but I may not have any choice if you do not offer me some form of compensation.
I would like to either return the hood for a full refund or have a significant discount on the excessive amount I paid for it.
Thank You,
John Lines.
Be very wary if buying people!

Glueing and stitching?
God I've lost interest in trying to fit that already!!!
I like a challenge but that's taking the p1ss!!!
What have they done? nicked them off the production line before they got to the end? 'off the conveyor belt' -never mind back of a lorry!!
That's bad luck for you mate - I hope it works out.
How much is a hood ready to fit?

You should have let me know mate. There's a place round the corner from me (They are near Chessington World of Adventures) and they do hoods fitted for Ԛ£500. I bought mine about 2 years ago and it still looks new. Worth the extra Ԛ£100 just for the peace of mind of letting them fit it. Never mind

Never knew Chessington was near Milan...........
Yeah Ԛ£100 more would have been good for it fully fitted

Hi...what seal do you mean as the front oem from is expensive and normally not needed..will need a new front rail normally
So many different fabrics and best to get a good roof and know it wil fit...as stated BMW Car club members can get roof from Ԛ£400 from the convertible register, they have AutomacGB Ltd supply the roofs - correct fabric and design..lots of poor quality cheap roofs out there so be careful

Hi...see price for electric hood in what they call German cloth is $495...to be fair I cant say what fabric that is..if its a genuine Haartz fabric then it could be Sonnenland...99 times out of a 100 you wont need the cables and never need the straps...the front rail that cost Ԛ£20 from BMW is the part needed most
After paying shipping etc and possible duty cant see that it works out cheaper than an original quality roof from the car club...and harder to return to the USA
You may say I am wrong but could be a lot of hassle
