did somebody take you by the hand and show you how to use the forum?m-dtech wrote:try explaining to the guy via pm how the forum works and point him in the direction of the rules and php forum user guide.

if this was done for those who dont know
the site would never be moderated
i never posted anything until i learnt what was what
perhaps he should sit back and read a few things before just posting where he likes
then he wouldnt feel the need to post the same thing several times
and threads would not have to be locked/moved
yes i feel that was a littlem-dtech wrote:(sorry if that was harsh)
after all these guys are trying to keep the place tidy so the users can navigate comfortably

Everyone join the bandwagon!!
Come on guys, leave the mods do the great job they're doing at the moment, they're under a lot of pressure, let's give them some support.

i dnt think he is doing it on purpose (sp) it's just that his threads get locked
lets no overreact just sit back and watch him for bit, see where he is headed then, worn and lock

the guy just does not know how to use the forum.
perhaps a lack of pc skills.
Try talking to him email/pm, pointing him in the righ direction.
IMO - moderation on this forum is pants.

Simons right, theres been a few complaints recently but everyone is following the sheep (im not saying that because im welsh) of the admins i have met 1 of which being adam then they in no way come across as power mad nazi moderating wankers, there nice genuine people, if everyone stopped getting pissy maybe things would die down, as a prostitute once said....it takes two to tango.m-dtech wrote:people skills ?Simon wrote:Everyone join the bandwagon!!

in a democratic society, the majority is tasked with voting a minority into power, to govern them as it were.
this is reflected here too.
so although we answer to you guys, I dont feel we need to justify anything
any actions taken by the site staffers will have been done for the good of the whole site, "the needs of the many outweight the needs of the few"
This site will remain the no1 site for e30s in the UK despite all the recent threads extolling our darkest days.
tomorrow is another day, and I'll be here as usual

your very first post was in e30 chat and was titlede30beast wrote:thanx m8 im just trying to ask a sensible question and keep getting locked wonder y.
"am i asking too much"
but the text of the thread was selling BBS wheels for Ԛ£200
when you was asked if you were selling you said yes so it was moved to the for sale thread
then you posted again
with a title of "hi"
and the text of this post was TECHNICAL
I mean what do you want the mods to do
have just one "freeforall" forum
I can really see that working

I'm with BeemerLad TBH! though if the lad is genuine in my opinion he would have already said that he doesn't know what he is doing on the Forum and already posted that he needs help!!

It would seem we are all the victim of a new member who just wants to be noticed.
It worked
I think we can all do without anymore of this type of topic, so I'm going to close this one now.
By the Zone 4 the Zone folks, This site was created to share in our enthusiasm for the model.
thats what brought us together, and long shall it remain the case.
