I bought the Motorsport cab that was briefly advertised on here, but I'm not sure exactly what spec they are suposed to be? I also don't know wether to sell it on? Break it? Or do it up for myself?
It's an 88 manual with 143k on the clock, and apart from one rear arch it is very very clean, but the leather is badly cracked! Oh, and it has a dent in the front wing.

In good nick they're worth decent money.
Any chance of a close up of the scuttle panel, it looks like it might need some attention as well (common problem).

One thing that struck me when I went to see this car was that the ride height looked all wrong. It may be the wrong profile tyres but it looks nose high and the gaps too big in the front arches.
The rear arch looks to have been got at before and my money was on the inner being well fooked an' all.
Ths is a very early motorsport, someone suggesting it's oneof the first 44 having the chrome window surrounds and the seat pins.
The only reason I didn't take it was because I had no space to break it. Which is what I would have done.

Sad to see souch rare car broken - do it up and keep it - these cars will only increase in value. I bought a stripped one and am going to sort it over the next few years.

One of the forty very early '88 ones in Macau. Rarer, but less desireable like for like, than the later ones.
Seen them in Shadowline and in chrome. Looks to be pretty original too.
Good luck with it Rod, whatever you decide. I have a perfect driver's side wing for you if required. Right colour and everything.

I'm surprised someone local didn't snap it up for the money, after all there are enough of you!
Yes it does sit very high, but there are no issues with the way it drives though.
Cheers Boydd, I will let you know on the wing.

I think it's too solid to break, but what are the parts worth? The roof is in extremely good condition. The seats are cracked, but the door cards and consul(?) are in good condition.
And, are there any hard to get parts that I should maybe retain for my cab?

i'd be giving it a thorough once over for rot. if fairly solid with no major hidden issues then it would be a bit of a shame to break it imho.
i personally think the early chromie unkitted cabbies are the pick of the bunch, and a manual motorsport has to be the best of that type!
cheers,
harry

I have decided that the best thing for this car is to save it, but that is something that i wont be doing myself as I have another cab I should concentrate on!
If anybody is interested in it as a road going project....

It's not the same colour as the leather with the stripes in the corner of the backrests?

I am as surprised as you are, it's not until you put them together..
The speaker panels from the rear. The top panel is from the Macau car!

What is a realistic price for the centre console? It's in good nick but missing the rear ashtray!
