Hi Guys,
I am from South Africa..I have a 325i with a few mods, cam, vernier and exhaust..
My readings are 118kw and 213nm on the wheels..
Is there any possibility that the above power can be chanelled just over the 1/4 mile..
Now I have heard that the 391 LSD will help.. I wanna know if it will work
We have a little competition down here happening soon.
I am taking a Honda Civic V-tec on the 1/4 mile, he runs a 15.5s. Is there anything i can do to beat him..
Thanks

Boet I'm not gonna lie to u... if that was taken at the reef, that is a really optimistic dyno.
15.5 ? Who u racing Bonnerts, JDM (Jakes), D1 ... who, but anyways I think they all running in the 14's now anyways.
Dude, best bet find urself a that slip diff, it will help... upgrade ur injectors to M52B28 ones, get an adjustable FPR, and up the fuel pressure, run on 102.6... and advance the timing, those r some pretty simple things to think of... and u do't have to open up the engine... also with the higher fuel pressure, u should try a 535i AFM...or even better an Evo2 AFM. Getit chipped
Other than that there isn't much u can do without opening up the engine.
BTW where did u get that Vernier from ? I've been looking everywhere for one here in SA

126kw is what is quoted by BMW as being stock to the flywheel on the M20B25Jhonno wrote:3.91 LSD will help yes - it'll make the acceleration quicker

If you want to channel more into the 1/4 mile then change the diff ratio so that you get more rpm per mph. You'll end up changing gear more frequently, but you can knock a few more 1/10ths of your time along with the 0-60 time by doing this.

nitrous is allowed, but it can put you into a different category for the size of engine, like turbo, think having a turbo counts for a 1.3 X increase in capacity
