hi i have a 320i and earlier today she hit the red so i crawled it home and as soon as ii stopped she started smoking from the water bottle and the air vents by the windscreen does any1 know what it could be ?

any1 ive let it go cold added more water to it and it gets hot after about 10 mins but only on idle if you rev it it goes down??

Is it only when stationary or is it while you're driving at ~50mph as well?

If when stationary only, probably your viscous fan clutch needs replacing. If it's while you're driving at speed, it's prob an issue with your coolant system somewhere - waterpump, thermostat, leaky hose?

well it got reali hot wen driving and wen stationary but it was idleing on the drives and i couldnt feel any water in the pipes so im guessing it might be a fauly water pump
