Mornign all,
I recently signed up to the E30 zone as I have one, which I am restoring.
The reason I found this page is because I looked for it in the internet, in the search of a community of E30, and for my surprised I found it !! And I have to say I am impressed, with the pictures, and with the activity within.
I am posting this question because of the state of mine, compared with the other E30's in the zone.
Its a 1987 320i SE in royal blue and chromes all round, with a lot of rust, no service history, a little bump in the front and a raging need to suck up miles like a beast. It runs sweet and even my mechanic mate fell in love with it and polished it in his dreams !!! proper wet dream ey.
The marker shows 115 and by the state of it it may look like it has done 200, although the engine runs with no problems.
-I already changed the radiator
-I changed the cambelt and the fanbelts
-The oil and spark plugs
-Changed the bearings
-Changed the front discs and theyr pads
Aiming to relift my beauty...
My friends gave me a set of 15" BBS, and I have prepared the manifold gasket, the rocket gasket and a Sportex DTM exhaust tailpipe to go in it and give it more life, and I am preparing to save money and cure the rust all over and the bump in the front and bring my baby to life...
... But is it worth it ? Will it die in the process ?? I thought that (looking at the pictures and how well kept you have your E30's) you the experts would help me find the light ??

Show us some pics of the Rust.
Though tbh if you bought it as a resto, then dont loose heart.
