I was thinking about starting a register, where everyone would submit they're vehicle details i.e. model, colour, engine size, and last 7 digits of the chassis number.
Thoughts?
I wouldn't mind compiling it.

Nice one, as long as you have all the required details Richy, I don't see why you can't submit them!
Obviously, those who don't want they're chassis number public could PM me with them etc.
I think it would be interesting to see if anyone has cars who could have been on the production line near someone else's.
This got me thinking after looking into the J reg sport I've just got hold of, it was made a month before my old H plate sport

Could make the shape and colour details public, but keep the chassis number to the keeper of the register, unless otherwise specified.tylerma wrote:sounds like a very good idea Simon

Simon,
Kin brilliant thought for the Zone but can I possibly put you in touch with the E30 Register on the BMWCC, they have hundreds of E30s registered with all details, you could work with Ron maybe and compile a list of the Zone cars.
In this way we would have a real feel for the E30s out there and help each other out ?????
Just a thought dude ?

Ian, all of my E30's are on the register, I'd like to do this for the zone, but could submit them to Ron too.HartgeH27 wrote:Simon,

I'm up for it Simon, fair play to you Dude!
As a matter of interest, would it not be an idea for members to be asked to submit details of any E30's they own on registration? That may possibly discourage some of the knob jockeys we've seen lately. Surely anyone who's legit won't mind!?!?
I know there's always going to be people who aspire to an E30 and have yet to aquire one wanting advice. They should be given all the advice and encouragement they need, but it isn't that difficult to work out who's genuine and who's a tosser!
Stuart.
