I'm locked out of my cab with the key still in the ignition! I put the ignition on to test a new radio - didn't think, but this activated the central locking, so when i got out and closed the door, it's all locked - even the boot.

I really dont want to go spoiling the roof, so can anyone help me get back in? The bonnet is open, so i can disconnect the battery.

Can I please suggest that people PM me with the answer, so we dont advertise to the world how to break into cabs!!

Thanks in advance.

I had the passenger door open whilst i was faffing with the radio - turned the ignition on, which in my car activates the central locking (perhaps something to do with the alarm?), so when i got out and closed the door, it was locked.

I wont do this again in a hurry - well cheesed off i am!

Any joy? I did this in my E34 years ago. My dad had to treck the 30 or so miles with my spare keys which was v lucky. I carry 2 sets of keys always now lol. Now much good now but hope you get in ok mate.

Thanks for the immediate responses - you can always trust the Zone to help out in times of panic.

I'll nominate myself for the dork of the day - on two counts:

1. Locking myself out of the car with the keys in the ignition
2. Forgetting that there was a spare key in the handbook that came with the car!!

Problem solved - heartbeat returning to normal.

Thanks again folks.

Just been for a run with my newly balanced, painted and shod BBS, along with the chip i bought on here - best run i've had in the car yet - ran so smooooothly!

A little compensation for my dented pride this evening!!

Thanks again.
