Everyone hopes they never have to write a thread like this but here i am at 4am informing you all that at 1am this morning my E30 had been stolen.

To say its my pride and joy is somewhat of an understatement for me as some of you may know, ive put so much into this car - and then some.

The car was stolen in Ilford, East London. I ask that if anyone hears/see's anything relating to my car can you please PM me or call me on 07904926226.

The car itself was due to go in for some welding today so i have stripped out its interior including carpet, seats (except drivers seat) and rear door cards. Distinct features of the car is its wide arches, debadged bonnet and boot and modified tech2 kit. The boot lid has a load of novelty stickers stuck on the inside of it. The passenger arch has a couple of 'plaster stickers' on it and the tech2 lower valence also has a 'plaster sticker' and smily face sticker on it. The windscreen and 'e30zone.net' sticker and a 'back in the day' sticker. Alot of stickers i know :o: . The wheels are a set of silver powdercoated 15" BBS Mahles and the exhaust is a DTM Scorpion jobby. Engine is a fully rebuilt A-Tech 327 lump.

The police have been notified but im also hoping someone may spot it before its wrapped round a lamp post or stripped for parts so please please please keep your eyes open and spread the word for me. Ive only just got this car back and the person thats stolen it just does not understand how much this car means to me. Heres a couple recent pictures of it before it was stolen.

There a C2 2.7 Alpina being broken up because it got stolen while it was due to be in a body shop. It drove in and was pushed out with Corsa wheels on. The engine ect all gone.

I know how you feel because someone swiped my MX5 just before it was due in for an MOT a car tax. I contacted the police they didn't want to know , a couple of months later I found out it had been crushed for not tax and MOT. They didn't even bother contacting!

The good thing is because of the flaired arches it does stand out , which should mean it can be fairly easily spotted.

terrible news ,i know what this car means to you and i've been reading about your build.

when anyone leaves there car at a garage/paint shop etc there is always the chance that some scumbag working there will get a key copied and nick your car.

what alarm did you have or what security measures did you take.

i know if they want it they'll have it but you just can't make it easy for them.

i hope it's recovered with minimal damage.

Bastards!

Only so much the police can do i guess but they should at least have the decency to keep you updated.

This motor has only got a few a bits actually useful to someone. Everything else has been changed. It was a clean theft to. No fuss with gaining entry into the car and no fuss starting it up and driving it off the driveway. I could still here the poor thing being ragged while i was on the phone to the police! Gutted. :(

F*ck sake this is becoming a joke the amount of E30's getting nicked in London. I has to be one outfit!

That last cab to be nicked that the police caught red handed should be keeping tabs on them as you can bet its the same crew targeting them.

I know that there are zoners that are serving police officers so surely one of them could ask some questions, pull some stings even if they are not MET officers?

One things for sure, insurance on E30's in London is gonna get even worse.

Glad i dont live in London any more!

Dips - Much appreciated. I hope it does turn up where ever that may be.

Magpie - The ironic thing is the day it got stolen i had just mentioned to a friend that i need to install an alarm. Im afraid i made it easy for the scum to take.

beemerbird - Again i appreciate you keeping an eye out and keep a close eye on your motor too (im sure that goes without saying).

Will keep my eyes pealed swindon way, apparently lots of cars from london across to swindon end up in Bristol. My Carlton was the same, found in Bristol, Police told me its the biggest hotspot for finding stolen cars.

Will keep my eyes pealed for you , hope you get it back safe and sound.

bhups - What can i say apart from thieving scum who better watch out for karma.

jhonno - Dont mate i know. London of all places but an alarm was on my 'to do list'. Bit late now. Let this be a warning to you all i guess.

dips - Cant see it being last owner (yungwun on here). He's a decent enough bloke and further more my mate (whos driveway the car was on) distinctly remembers seeing an Asian guy reversing the car away. I have a couple of places in mind that i'll be visiting soon. Hopefully there will be a positive outcome.

I hope I'm wrong, but the number if dismantled/part stripped "project" cars stolen always increases when scrap prices are high. Theyre not interested in what it is or how much it might be worth, just what it weighs.

Our local frag won't take a car now without V5 and address and photographic ID. Hopefully yours are the same.

Good luck.

The thieves could be using the forums, by looking through our wanted adds. For instance i want a diamond Schwartz sunroof, they contact me saying they have one i agree and send my home address. Do not hear any thing back from them then a time later a month week or day my car has vanished. Just a thought. Feel gutted for all victims.

Thanks guys. Your words of encouragement and support are helping me to think positive.

cecotto479 - Unfortunatly jhonno is right. Ive weighed in a few cars myself and not once has anyone collecting them bothered to ask for paperwork or history and i dare say the scrappies are bothered either.

Still cant believe this has happened.

Absolute sickner Giggz. You've obviously put a lot of yourself into that car, not to mention
money. Like others, i'm convinced these thefts are linked and are being carried out
by persons who are using this site. When you say no fuss entering and starting your car,
do you mean they had a key?.
Fingers crossed for good news for you chap.

Almost every car nicked apart from the M3 cabriolet stolen from Southall has had an M-Tech2 kit on it....

Been keeping an eye out and there doesnt seem to have been an influx or even a steady stream of M-tech2 kits on the market....

Which leads me to think either they are hoarding these parts (of which they must have loads by now)..

Or these cars are stolen to order for their parts and these parts are basically sold even before the cars been nicked...

Sad state of affairs.... :(

That m3 was beautiful! Iv known that bloke for years n he did not deserve his car to b stolen.. Just like all the people on here who have had the cars stolen.. If the thieves are ever caught, they should all get a good kicking... And then be fed to the pigs!!!
