basically had a water leak from the alloy pipe/tube which comes out of the rear of the cylinder head which the rubber pipe from the heater matrix fits on, the old alloy pipe was totally corroded so i had to pick it all out with a screw driver and long nosed pliers, has anybody ever refitted one before, and can you buy them from main dealer.
i'm guessing it just press fits in.
any response will be gratefully received.
cheers

Hi Shawn
I'm not an expert on the 318is, but I've just had a look on the ETK.
The cylinder head diagrams show the stub tubes in the head but unfortunately they're not listed as a seperate item.
If there's one close enough to you, it might be worth asking at a local engine build shop.
Sorry can't be more help :(

Don't know the correct German name but it's the computerised parts lists for BMW.
Copies on CD can be picked up fairly cheaply from Fleabay.

I "think" i know this one! Im pretty sure my old iS had the same problem and i dont think BMW sell the part separate from the block, could measure it up and get someone to fabricate a piece of pipe to fit! Thats what happened to mine!
