Hi Chaps
Haven't been on since around September last year on account of unbelievable amounts of work, and being a cabby owner the car was laid up for 6 months.
Finally got the courage to give my little beastie a check over after she's stood in 3 foot of snow over winter, and has had to be left outside for 6 months since October. I bought my two lads a Renault 5GT for them to work on and have lost my garage to them.
With trepidation, I open her up. Cabbie owners may know this well, but given the amount of 'mould' she'd accumulated over winter, I expected a rush of vomit inducing toxic stench when I turned the door key. Thankfully it wasnt too bad!
Quick wipe over and she looked lovely inside. Onto the engine bay.... well, so I thought. Pulled the cable release latch, nothing. Pulled again, then again, then snap.....
Bugger
Never mind. Quick poke with a screwdriver and bonnet open. Popped off the battery and on charge it went.
Checked over the clutch fluid...fine. Brake fluid still topped up nicely. Coolant was surprising, really thought it would've lost some but exactly as I left it.
A few further bits and bobs later (including oil - as pristine as I'd left it, not a drop spilled on my drive), and the moment of truth came. Turn.... turn....turn...FIRE!
2 second rev and she was 'ticking' away nicely (its a 320i lol). Quick nudge forward to release the brakes a bit, then a run up/down the drive and repositioned ready for taking out.
All in all, i'm chuffed to bits & ready for another 6 months cruising!!!
Woooohoooo
Damn these things are bloody easy to own

Welcome back
I wasn't too hopeful when I pushed 2ft of snow off my touring either, but she fired first time and never looked back. Great isn't it!

same as my is- for 3 months dec, jan, feb, it stood outside patiently in the snow etc, while i drove round in the discovery, just the odd start up drive round the block on a clear day , it was fine, nice little rest and no salty roads done it good !
this year, ideally i want it garaged for the same period
