when did the wiper stalk change?

I have a '91 LUX washer stalk.
I just noticed it has an S on the end and you can push it in (spray I assume)

But my '89 doesnt have the S

when did they change?

and can i put the one with the S in my older car? And wil it work ?

Push button on the end of stalk is for the intensive wash system on the Lux. (Two screenwasher bottles, one with ordinary fluid and the other with special concentrated stuff.)

I dont have an intesive washer bottle spare............ So....

OBC function button stalk ??? Shouldn't be too difficult.

Which wires tho??? Hmmm ... need to investigate.

Looks like it has just been changed at some point in it's life for the wrong one, lux didn't come with HLWW, but it was a Ԛ£310 option.
