e21 parts Australia
Moderator: martauto
I know this is E30, but I have just picked up an old e21 for pennies. I sold a set of e30 bottle cap rims with tires. I pulled othem off of my e30 and they had been lying in the shed for a few years. A few days later this old e21 came up for sale from someone at work. the money i got for the wheels just about covered the cost of the car($300.00 for the car). Now I have the fun job of trying to find a good suplier of parts in Australia. Does anyone know if someone in Australia sells sports/lowering springs for the e21?

Go to your local suspension place mate they will sort you out, also there is plenty of kits on ebay. Try pedders.
If desperate get a oxy and heat the springs the weight of the car will compress the hot spring. Do it until you reach the desired height, put a brick or something under the sills so it does not go to low and you can get even height all round...
Not safe but safer the cutting the springs.

Contrary to the views of those who don't know any better, cutting springs is a perfectly acceptable way of lowering a car. A coil spring is a coiled piece of steel, all you are doing is shortening it.
On the other hand ,taking a gas axe to springs is extremely council AND dangerous.
Bearing in mind the OP turd is a $300 snotter, spending the same anount again on springs is probably not on the menu
Not a problem as the spring flattens itself nicely once loaded up. But I would only ever cut one coil off, i.e 360 degrees from the original coil end.James325 wrote:I agree. Cutting springs is no bad thing.
But the cut end can cause problems because it's no longer flat. But a small niggle really.
