what is the difference besides body styles and prices? I was originally going for the e36 but i saw a few clean e30's for 1k i have 3,500 if i buy a e30 i can put 2k into it off the bat but if i get the e36 ill have to just keep waxing it
i know this is an e30 forum im hoping for some mixed replies though. nice to meet you all BTW, cool forum.

Welcome to the ZONE......
And simple answer.....e30
check out the cars for sale section mate, most are members cars and can be vouched for by other memebers and 2k will get you pretty much any e30 in some shape or form.
From 316's to 325i sports can be bought in various states for less than Ԛ£2k.
e30's are much more fun to drive, easier to fix and parts are cheaper than it's e36 big brother. It's better made and built like a brick.
May i suggest a 325i se, but then again I am biased!

Indeed, the E30 is the only nice looking beemer in my eyes. I couldn't have anything else. Others may be faster, handle better and fetch more money but the E30 has character and looks gorgeous.
