e34 uj's
Moderator: martauto
i have acquired a couple of e34 uj's in case i have any clearance issues with the zaust fanimould with the modded one i have. However, only one will fit to the e36 rack and the other has fine splines also so won't fit the coarse splines on the column
what's the score here then,i thought x2 e34 uj's were needed with a splined middle jointer so how is it supposed to work that way when only one end fits ???

Rather than hammer the caps out that you want to reuse ive found it better to cut them out, hammering can distort the cap and most times it doesnt go back in nice.
Also when pressing them back in dont press on the centre of the cap, this can fck them up also

Mick just send them to Dan. He has done loads. No chance of him fooking them. I know I would have made a pigs ear of it.
You can get the rack fitted up with the front legs. Put the bolts through the bottom with the spacers on top of the rack. Then when the linkage comes back you can just take the drivers side bolt out and slide the rack forward to fit the linkage.
