changed my temperature sender today an took my car for a twp minute test drive up the main road near me which has a footbridge over it

i was not travelling fast as the engine was cold, i never exceed 3000 revs. anyway upon travelling under the bridge i hear a huge crack. thinking it was the sump or something like that i got out an looked around the car etc to find nothing, get back in to find a huge crack slap bang in the top centre of the car on the windscreen, and im only third party fire and theft !!

judging by the size of the crack it wud have had to of been a large rock to fly up an hit me!! my guess is it was thrown

I too need a new windscreen  was driving through a packed town centre at about 10mph... so i doubt the car in front lifted a stone up with its wheels...

never thought someone may have thrown somethin... but i have two deep chips in the winscreen and insurance excess is Ԛ£60, but waiting a while cos i only took out the insurance a week ago! may seem suspiscious!

I hate hearing stories like this :x

If it had gone through the screen whoever threw the brick/stone could be charged with attempted murder I believe.

If it's only a coupla minutes from your house you should keep an eye on the bridge for suspicious-looking people and shop 'em I think.

People have been killed by things like this!

I had some kids throw a lump of wood into the fornt wheel of my M bike a while back, they ( and me) were amazed to see it neatly cleaved in two,

they were even more amazed when I executed a perfect 180 and shot back up the road to them  :shoot1:

When i was younger i chucked a snowball at a Transit van and the bugger chased me down the road! it was fooking loud as the van had nothing in it.

I me and some friends got chased along a beach when we chucked a water ballon at a guys car, he looked like a fooking WWF westler so we ran for our lives!

Obviously i've grown up since, but would never of chucked anything from height, fast moving cars or stuff the didnt disintergrate!

I'd be pissed off if i were you!

Was it a stone kicked up by the car in front or someone on a bridge?

And were there replies from E30Adam and Martinaston to this thread or am I finally going mad? :?
