Hi, i'm looking to go for an E30 320i 2dr, coming from a '92 Sierra GLS. Just wondering what to look for on them, also whats the performance like on them? My Sierra was a 2.0l DOHC straight four, about 135 brake, wanting something around that really. I'd like a 325 but my insurance is going to be too much for a few years due to to many points!!

welcome to the zone mate,
320i`s are pretty good, fit chip, filter and exhaust to make them bit more lively, or what about a 318is ?

What are they like handling wise as standard too? My sierra was RWD, but i had that lowered 60mm, poly bushed up and a cossie LSD on the back, was fun, but its been nicked
So i'm thinking BMW now, had enough of ford.

Welcome to the site mate
A good way to find out insurance prices is to go into the LINKS page, click insurance, click on insurance supermarket.
Probably not totally ligit but i find a car on Ebay i may be interested in,and use the reg no from that to get a quote on,like i said probably not ligit but gives you an idea.
Comes back on some amazing fully comp quotes for me and my misses

they handle well but if you lower it quite a bit you will need some eccentric rear bushes to stop the tyres wearing on inside

You need a 318iS I reckon!
320 might feel a bit slower than your Sierra, based on power figures.
Anyway, the E30s are great cars; even the rougher ones still have that something that makes you like them.

I know about this my Sierra had it really bad, due to lowering, the constant drifting didn't help much either:DA1BMW325iSport wrote:they handle well but if you lower it quite a bit you will need some eccentric rear bushes to stop the tyres wearing on inside

I'm pretty handy mechanical wise is there anything i can do to perk a 320 up? Would a 325i crank fit? Stroke it a little?
