i wouldn't say it was a ball-ache dips, it's just that the engine is so big, your restricted with space.
i'd say the main 'problem' area's are the exhaust manifold/clearance and brake activation. both of which are not impossible, just both need attention

Think it was an Aussie lad called Colin(?)who did one of these to a black touring.
I had a good look round it one day at a meet.We had to push start him, exhaust was very close to the starter,so when the exhaust was hot,the starter complained by refusing to function.
The alternator required a mod to the n/s chassis rail, and then the brake master issue that Glenn mentions above.
Sounded lovely, though, and a drop of a single gear at 75mph left my 2.7 for dead!

i've just done a m60 conversion. other than manifolds, servo relocation and propshaft. which i'm on i thought it fairly straightforward. from on the floor to running in 6 hours. i'm having manifolds/system made so can supply to others if needed. so once i've finished the brakes the 340is is good to go. didn't mod the shell at all, just the bonnet reinforcement for the expansion tank.quite loud atm tho and the alternator would be fun to replace in situ. will add pics when finished

try sending kerrie a pm, he has done one and in the middle of another. he talks of engine conversions like they are a walk in the park, and he certainly knows his onionsdips346 wrote:

I have an S50 swap which is awesome, very quick, revvy, exciting and controlable; but I still hanker after the torque and noise of a V8....
