as above is this a facelift as it on an e plate but
thats the date of manufacture?

m8 dec 88 is defo facelift and 100% an f reg onwards e reg only up to 1st september probs sumwhere mines a dec 88 car and its f plate?

facelift started in 87 some time, my car was built in Oct 87 and was registered 1st Jan 88 and is a facelift

I was thinking the same, December 88 is F.

Early E reg was pre-facelift, later E reg was post-facelift.

Hi Simon

Nope, mine started life as a dog spec 325i with windy windows.

Tech 2 kit was fitted by supplying dealer when 2 years old

Ahh, OK, no tech facelift sports were made during 88, as Jim said though, they make more sense money wise! :wink:

sept 87 is the facelift or when the plastic bumper cars started rolling off the production line
