Which car has more torque.......an E36 325i or an E30 325i ????

Just trying to settle an arguement with my mate dave!!

E30 167 lb/ft@ 4000rpm
E36 181 lb/ft@ 4700rpm (M50)
E36 180 lb/ft@ 3950rpm (M52)

the m50 lump in the e36 has about 20lb ft more

Its also alot higher up the rev range unless your talking about the M52 2.8.
