im a programmer so the natural route for ecu is megasquirt....

No change off Ԛ£1k for the tbs, trumpets and linkages.

The plan is....

Get this installed and kicking out 200bhp + then turbo it.

That sounds like a mighty fine plan

Theres something about individual TBs that looks just right, especially if theres 6 of them.  :teehee:

you can use a filter on them if you wish.

what goes in must come out, so even if there is dirt or grime it comes out the pipe at the rear.

the engine wont last that many thousand miles anyway, not with my right foot

Just a word of warning. A guy I know of knackered the valves and I think the head on his 2.0ltr Zetec, when his 'tea strainer' type trumpets allowed what they think was a stray washer to be sucked in.
He is now running a large sausage type foam filter over the trumpets.

I would say go for a plenum over the foam filter - that way you can get all the cold air you want from the front of the car.

Thats what I was saying. Have a sausage filter as one of these is meant to be better than individual sock filters, but have a plenum of sorts to fit over the filter.

That way, you can direct the cold air from the front of the car, not just suck in the hot air from the engine bay.

The guy who did my ally welding on my plenum has an ex-touring car 2.0ltr S14 motor with slide carbs and all the fancy bits in a Mk2 Escort. He has made an ally airbox to cover his filter that sits directly on the trumpets and then the cold air feed is ducted to the front of the car.
Its going to be a monster when its finished. 8O

No worries fella :thumb: Didnt think that - just thought I could of said what I said a little clearer.

Whats the deal with sock filters then?
Even the guys I know with Westfields dont rate them at all and they normally have them sticking out through the side of the bonnet into clear air.

im not sure exactly the science behind it but you lose massive amounts of power with them.. must be to do with airflow or summat

If it was me I would be running a Plenium, but with a filter up front... with ducting coming up from the front left fog up to the filter... sure way to get cold air too the filter
