Im looking at converting the standard four to five stud setup! I've tried in the search section but not getting anywhere :? i've got a 325i sport at the moment. What parts would i need? and what would be the likely cost? 8)

Proper way is E30 M3 suspension, about £750+

Other way is E36 M3 Evo front struts complete and Evo wishbones. Then for the rear, E36 318TI rear trailing arms.

It usually costs me between £350-550 depending how cheap i get the parts, then you need new ball joints, subframe bushes, trailing arm bushes. I also get the lot stripped and powder coated while at it, along with new brakes, back plates, pipes, etc etc.

So with all them parts it willl be more like a £1000 once you have finished

the standard struts "might" work but you will need e36 m3 evo hubs and bottom arms, why? because standard stuff will leave you wheel stuck at the back of your arch.

Normal e36 springs have a wider diameter which means they hit the strut housing. You need the 3.0 m3 ones which are literally the same as the evo ones size wise; (the only difference is the drop link bracket) as the spring is the same size as the e30 struts.

I have E30 M3 set up for sale.

Complete and re powdercoated.

New bearings all round.

Front struts come with springs, shocks, legs, anti roll bar and callipers.

Rears come with trailing arms, springs and callipers.

This is not the usual set that looks like its been stored at the bottom of the sea.

Its new bearings and a bolt on kit with what you have!

I am looking for £1200 for the lot. I dont expect to sell it on here and am in no rush but it might give you an idea of what it costs to do it properly :D

It's not, that's the higher/top end of the scale

You can pick up a decent set for around £700-£800.

If you can find a set :D

You price up M3 front hubs?
Powdercoating front and rear arms?
Rear bearings and getting them fitted?

It maybe be top end but its value for money believe me :D
