I noticed a big hole in my back box today and whilst looking at possible replacements I got to wondering if its worth looking at an aftermarket item?

I would like the exhaust to look almost standard but give a nice sound and not cost the earth

Its only the rear section that I will need to replace and I wonder what peoples opinions are on a replacement ( links or pics might help too )

Or am I just better off going for the standard BMW one?

Thanks

I have just had the same dilemma-wanted the stock look and sound, but not the newly inflated prices the stealers are charging (circa 400 quid Inc vat for a back box). Found a company called midland exhaust and tyres who have supplied me an oem style back box made by an Italian company called pedol. It came in silver, but once sprayed in vht paint (black), looks totally original. Sounds lovely too!!

It's one of the boxes with the 's' shaped tail pipes designed for a facelift. Very happy, and just 180 quid delivered with mountings and brackets (next day). Pm me if you want more details
