Just been to halfords to get a battery, cos mine has finally died. THEY WANT Ԛ£70 FOR ONE!!!

Surely this is some sort of joke, where can I get one for a more reasonable price?

I picked up a BOSCH SILVER TOP 80amp battery from GSF for Ԛ£70!!

It's a monster and it looks good too, plus a 3yr garuntee :D

A small price to pay for easy starts every morning, especially as it's starting to get cold now :eek:

I know you cant do it today. But BMW charged me Ԛ£60 something for a battery.

Everyone assumes a Main agent will be more expensive, but on everyday stuff. (batteries, bulbs, spark plugs) They are sometimes cheaper than Halfords.

Just think of the buying power BMW UK can hold over someone like Bosch.

just do what i do get a battery from halfords with 3year guarantee
and after to 2years go back a say its not holding a charge show your receipt and they give you a new battery .i did it last week and thats the third time i done it not cost me a penny in six years .

Ihave one of these and its about five years old and only just about showing signes of wear! Very good and i would recommend one to anyone!

Definitely try BMW first, i got a battery for my e36 M3 from the dealer for Ԛ£50

Halfrauds are pricing themselves out of the market.... i went in there the other day for a paint touch up stick for my partners car, they wanted Ԛ£8 for it, i ran for the hills.

If you can get hold of a mate with a trade card then there prices are cheap cheap cheap......

Shame ure not closer mate my mum works for a car spares company and i get staff discount.

My uncles garage wanted to charge me Ԛ£60 for a battery for my old car not so long ago. Rang me mum same battery Ԛ£28 not bad eh?!
