On mine there was just a sealing rubber strip across the bulkhead ending 2 inches down the front wing wings. Other E30s I looked at were the same.

The ETK has plastic strips that run the rest of the way down the wing. I got a set of these off a scrap car.

Did they fall off mine at some stage or were they some sort of remedial cure for rattles?

My sport had a rubber seal that runs around the bulkhead and down to the front of the wings, where as my touring as as many others I've seen have the seal end just after the corners from the bulkhead.

I don't think that is the seal cros is asking about though, theyre the evo sport bonnet seals, readily available too when I ordered mine.

Why yes, yes it would.

Whatever it is, it needs to be waterproof and high pressure hose proof.

What is gonna be able to do that? No More Nails? :)

Gotta be a strong sticky back plastic? Blue Peter Style. Let's discuss this on Saturday.

On a separate note, can anyone tell me why elastic bands should actually be called inelastic bands.

A pint for the person with the correct answer!

elastic means; Easily resuming original shape after being stretched or expanded; flexible.

If it was inelastic it would either mean that its not made out of elastic or it cannot be stretch or expanded.....

My physics teacher explained something to me at 6th form, which I've blatently got wrong and not even thought about. He was probably talking about something completely different.

I'll try to remember.

Bumper seals go in between the top of the bumper and the lower front light panel and front wing... only came on M3 Sports. It seals the whole of the top of the bumper to the front of the body where there is usually a gap.

Not recommended for E30's without the Mtech 2 kit...
