Finally, after buying it two and a half weeks ago, Munich Legends finished the work on my Motorsport cab. I went and collected it yesterday and drove it the 170+ miles home...and I gotta say, its hella wicked!
I'm gonna have to get used to the auto box but reckon its something I'll easily cope with [good for traffic], and the fact it aint a fast as my 225bhp New Beetle - but hell, its a cruiser. Only little bits of work left to do on it really;
- Anyone else's cab have windows that catch the fabric of the roof when you shut the door? What can I do about that?
- Sometime next spring I gotta get the off side wheel-arch re-sprayed, the previous owner scratched it.
- The rear screen could do with being changed at some point too [how much will that be?]
- But first, the sound system! I think I've found speakers that worse than my dads speakers in his X-type - and they bad! Gotta get some bass in my ride.
I will get some pics done and post them up asap.
Got it home!

Not yellow, but quite scatched. At night, other car's lights behind me reflect off the scatches and create glare. Will try some cleaner though cheers.

My screen was pretty hazey with small scratches all over it. Used renovo on it, it worked ok but I wasn't overely impressed. By pure fluke i found that Zymol cleaner wax in the light blue bottle, 11 quid from Halfords, seemed to do the job much better.
Glad you like your motor too, you'll soon get use to and start enjoying the auto box.
Pic of the screen finished. The roof was redyed with the renovo stuff.

Let me know of what speakers and setup you end up using, it's my last job to do.
Cheers,
Andy

Hindsight is best product for the back window. It'll get rid of scratches AND mistyness... just got to put some elbow grease into it!

No joke dude.
I've used it for years... it really is amazing stuff. I've done 3 BMW convertibles, a Cobra and an MGB with it, and I've still got stuff left from about 5 years ago!
It's not the cheapest, but it definitely is the best. It protects and softens the plastic so that it lasts longer.
Very very good.
No joke.

Yeah, but like I said, it's the best... and I've still got mine after 5 years and numerous cars later...
